Hello people of planet Earth. It's Monday. No further explanation necessary.

...
Just kidding.
This week has been great! So many neat experiences with the spirit, I cannot deny that my Redeemer lives and is in the details of my life.
This week we had a lesson with our friend, J. It was a little tricky since we don't sign the same language, but thankfully gesture and Google Translate goes a long way. We'll meet again with him soon, as he wants to make his way towards covenanting with God.
We met with our friend, L. He's working so hard to get his life in order, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is helping him along that path. He came to church, and the talks were so inspired! The Thursday before, we had discussed the sacrament and the importance of coming to church, and all the talks that day and the Sunday school lesson was on the sacrament. No coincidences here.
Speaking of church, our Vietnamese member lost one of her phones! She has three phones for reasons we still aren't quite sure on. Tham always brings food to church to share with the members of the branch, and she said that she had her iPhone in her food bag. We spent an hour searching the church; the trashes, the kitchen, the rooms. Alas, we couldn't find it and gave up the search. This morning, one of the members called us and told us that he found an iPhone in a fruit basket that Tham gave him. What a miracle that the phone was found!
Speaking of food, Tham always brings some of her Vietnamese cooking to church. The number one rule of eating foreign food is never ask what's in it until after you eat it. Yesterday, she brought a sweet soup with a doughy ball in it. It was super good, like most of the foods she brings! I asked her what was in it, and she said it was made of bean flour. Bean flour is pretty darn interesting, I've tried food in Singapore with bean flour and it tasted just like it. I want to know who looked at beans and thought, "hmmm I bet I could grind this up into a powder and throw it in the oven".
I've been studying a lot from 2 Nephi 9 this week. It outlines some of the fine points of the purpose of life and what happens after we die. Reading it closely has been really profound and answers a lot of questions that people have. If you haven't given it a read, go and do that.
I'm so grateful for my Savior who has given me the opportunity to be here on Earth. This plan of happiness truly is a joy, and sharing it with everyone we meet is amazing.
My companion is leaving this transfer, and it will be a very bitter-sweet moment. Most of my mission has been focused on him and his mission, and this marks the end of that adventure. He was the one that trained me, and we've been together for about five months. Trying to see him as my Heavenly Father sees him has been the biggest growing experience of my entire life, and so I have to thank him for the journey. It hasn't been easy, there's been a lot of bumps along the way, but we're both higher now than we were 380 days ago.
